In response to the establishment of the IP Court in 2008, Professor Kazuhiro
Matsuda of Kyoto University was invited by TIPO to lecture on technical
examiner system and related practices on December 7. Professor Matsuda
was at JPO for over 30 years, and had served at chief examiner and chief
justice. He retired from JPO in 2004. A total 170 TIPO examiners and judges
from the Judicial Yuan attended the program.
