The IPR Police acquired a mobile phone number from an unnamed flyer advertising sales of pirated ODs, and after painstakingly amassing all leads, determined the involvement of a couple after picking up their fingerprints. On December 8, 2007, with a search warrant, the police searched the residence of the suspects in Pingtung City. Around 40,000 pirated ODs with a bunch of computer servers, printers and burners were uncovered. The illicit gains were estimated to exceed over a million NT dollars per month.
