Since the promulgation of the current Patent Act on February 6, 2003 (took effect on July 1, 2004) TIPO has continued to watch changes in the intellectual property right environment and to accommodate the highly developed science and technology and studied and discussed various issues pursuant to amendment of the Patent Act. At the same time, TIPO also collected opinions of various circles on implementation of the current Patent Act and actively reviewed the inadequacies or places that require amendment. After several discussions, TIPO will hold a public hearing in March 2008 on necessary amendments to the overall system. All circles are welcome to contribute their valuable opinions.
