To promote public understanding of the development of trade secret judicial practices in Taiwan, TIPO has published the 2022 Compilation of Selected Court Rulings on Trade Secret Cases. 19 cases were selected by sifting through trade secrets-related rulings between January and December of 2022, and then examined and categorized based on key issues: the three elements of trade secrets (confidentiality, economic value, and reasonable confidentiality measures), trade secrets infringement, Trade Secrets Act and relevant regulations (confidentiality preservation order), etc. Court rulings were summarized, compiled, and have been published on TIPO’s official website as of June 15, 2023 in the Trade Secrets section for public reference.
