- Engages in the study and discussion of drafts, revisions, and interpretations for trademark-related laws and regulations
- Optimizes trademark examination quality
- Conducts examinations for applications for registration, opposition, invalidation, and revocation of trademarks, collective trademarks, collective membership marks, and certification marks and their related administrative litigations
- Manages extension, modification, authorization, renewal, change, license, and transfer cases or entry registration of a license or pledge

- Engages in the study and discussion of drafts, revisions, and interpretations for copyright-related laws and regulations
- Mediates copyright-related disputes
- Manages matters related to plate rights copyright registration, copyright license or pledge registration, approval of license of works of unknown owner of copyrights & compulsory license of musical works
- Oversees supervision and related affairs of collective management organizations (CMOs)
- Initiates education and public awareness programs
- Coordinates and enforces the protection of intellectual property rights

- Manages IPR-related international affairs
- Engages in the study and discussion of drafts, revisions, and interpretations of TIPO laws and regulations, excluding trademark or copyright-related ones
- Facilitates communication, cooperation, and data exchange between IPR-related organizations
- Participates in the study, discussion, coordination, control, and assessment of TIPO’s administrative plans
