8.3.2 Can the recordation of assignment of trademark rights be made after the dissolution of the juristic person has been registered or the registration of the juristic person has been cancelled?

A company being dissolved or a company whose registration has been cancelled or revoked by the competent authority is not considered dissolved if liquidation is still in progress. During the period of liquidation, the company mentioned above may temporarily run its business for settling pending affairs and facilitating the liquidation. Moreover, trademark rights related thereto are still valid during that period. Therefore, a juristic person may, prior to the conclusion of the liquidation process, assign trademark rights, in which the recordation of the assignment may be filed by the assignee, or apply for the renewal of the trademark term.
