TIPO is partnering with the European Economic and Trade Office (EETO) to host the 2022 EU-Taiwan Seminar on Design Protection, which will take place on March 9th at the GIS MOTC Convention Center. Three of TIPO’s field offices – the Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung Information Centers – will also be joining the event remotely via virtual meetings.

The aim of the seminar is to promote awareness of the relevant regulations and practices regarding design protection the EU and Taiwan. As such, TIPO has invited experts from both the EU and Taiwan to discuss the differences in their approach to design protection, the challenges and opportunities arising from global digitalization, and how design protection differs from copyright protection We hope that through the seminar, all who attend will leave with a better understanding of design protection measures in Taiwan and the EU.
