To help reduce the number of typos on applications, TIPO set up the Patent Application Document Assistance and Error Detection System, which checks the words on the application in accordance with the Patent Act and advises applicants of any errors to ensure the application abides by the proper regulations. The system also further enhances the quality and efficiency of submitting applications and reduces bureaucratic volley with TIPO – greatly easing the workload for both applicants and TIPO alike.

To quickly familiarize applicants (or agents) with the system, TIPO will offer two training seminars in the afternoon at 2pm on September 13 and 27. The seminars will be held in the auditorium on the 18th floor of the TIPO building, which will be open to the public.
