To optimize administrative efficiency and reduce the burden of correspondence between applicants and the office, TIPO has expanded its "TIPONet" online services. The system now features a new function for patent applicants to add, change, or remove a process agent for patent documents online, enabling more efficient and real-time intellectual property management.

Patent applicants were required to submit paper documents to apply for an update to basic case information, such as process agents. With the launch of this new online feature, applicants can now complete these updates online to expedite the process. Please note that this function is currently accessible only to patent applicants (excluding patent agents/attorneys logging in on behalf of clients). After logging into the TIPONet platform, users can navigate to the "Patent Application / Online Change" section to perform the update.

Following this expansion, TIPONet now supports online changes for various types of basic case information, including:

• Representative Name: Chinese and English names of the applicant’s representative.
• Contact Information: Chinese and English addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses for both applicants and agents.
• Process Agents: Adding, changing, or removing process agents for the service of patent documents.
