The 2026 Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) was held from September 17 to 19, 2026, at Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Hall 1. Centered on the theme “AI Cross-Domain Innovation, Driving the Smart Future,” this year’s expo gathered global cutting-edge technologies, featuring over 1,000 inventions from 17 countries and attracting an estimated 50,000 visitors.

Gathering innovative momentum from domestic and international inventions, the 2026 TIE serves as a leading platform for technology exchange in Asia. The exhibition was structured into “three pavilions and one area:” the Future Tech Pavilion, the Innovation Economy Pavilion, the Smart Sustainability Pavilion, and the Invention Competition Area, showcasing a diverse range of achievements in artificial intelligence, foresight technologies, sustainable development, and patent innovations. In addition to organizing the Invention Competition Area, TIPO set up the “Taiwan Patent GO” within the Innovation Economy Pavilion. This initiative connected outstanding patents with industrial needs, facilitating the commercialization of award-winning technologies into the market.

The Invention Competition Area called for domestic and foreign patented works issued within the past five years, attracting participation from enterprises, research institutes, and academic organizations. With over 500 entries competing in the event, it fully demonstrated Taiwan’s abundant R&D and innovation capabilities.

The “Taiwan Patent GO” pavilion in the Innovation Economy Pavilion featured a curated selection of outstanding award-winning patents and invited 32 businesses to exhibit. The showcase covered fields such as Sustainable Living, Advanced Manufacturing, AgriTech, and Precision Health, reflecting Taiwan’s diverse patent innovations and R&D achievements. Beyond technology demonstrations, this dedicated area bridged innovative technologies with industrial demands through exhibitions and matchmaking events. These efforts promoted technology licensing, collaboration, and transactions, enabling exceptional patents to advance from “winning awards” to “practical applications,” which created valuable opportunities for industrial cooperation.
