To assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in reviewing and enhancing their trade secret protection mechanisms,  the Intellectual Property Office, Ministry of Economic Affairs (TIPO),  has compiled the “Checklist for Trade Secret Protection Mechanism for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).”

The checklist encompasses five major sections: (1) Trade Secret Protection Policies, (2) Employee Management, (3) Management of Physical and Electronic Documents, (4) Education, Training, and Auditing, and (5) Management of Outsourced and Collaborating Personnel. It consists of 10 main items and 67 sub-items, serving as a reference for enterprises to establish and strengthen their trade secret protection systems. Enterprises are encouraged to make full use of this checklist.
