TIPO’s Coordinated Counseling with the Smart Aging Tech Industry to Help Businesses Identify Emerging Industry Opportunities
To facilitate the development of the smart aging industry in Taiwan and enhance the R&D capabilities of key technologies and patent portfolios of domestic enterprises, TIPO continued its coordinated industrial counseling program in 2025. This initiative focused on two major application fields: "intelligent assistive devices" and "home security and surveillance systems." Through the sharing of patent filing trends and portfolio analysis, combined with hands-on training, the program helped stakeholders develop core competencies in prior art searches and portfolio analysis, attracting 30 participating businesses.
The training program encompasses a wide range of essential skills, including fundamental patent knowledge, search techniques, and the operation of the TIPO Patent Search System. Participants were guided to conduct in-depth analyses of patent literature and portfolio reports, enabling businesses to anticipate industry trends in technological development. Additionally, the hands-on sessions empowered companies to develop their own customized patent portfolio reports and cultivate internal talent for patent search and analysis, boosting their overall R&D and innovation capabilities.
Furthermore, TIPO continued to update its "Smart Aging Tech Promotion Platform," which integrates the latest news, patent literature, expert articles, and industrial trend analyses, for businesses to keep up with technical developments. All interested parties are encouraged to make full use of these resources.
