A patent application can be submitted in person, by mail or via the Electronic Filing System. Any patent application sent via fax or e-mail will not be accepted.

Please note that overseas residents cannot submit patent applications directly to TIPO by any means, including those mentioned above, without a professional representative in the ROC.
