To strengthen Taiwan's practical capabilities in patent analysis and portfolio strategy, TIPO has launched the 2026 Competition for Patent Portfolio Analysis. Registration is open from March 25 to 5:00 PM on April 10. The competition offers a total prize pool of NT$300,000 and invites patent analysis professionals from across Taiwan to form teams and participate. This initiative aims to cultivate patent talent with real-world industry readiness, facilitating continuous industrial innovation and development.

This year’s competition continues to adopt the “Corporate Challenges x Talent Solutions” format. A total of 25 enterprises have proposed 54 topics related to frontier technologies. These topics cover key industry sectors, including semiconductors and ICT, biotechnology and healthcare, smart manufacturing, and green energy technologies. By aligning with global technological trends, the competition allows participants to directly engage with practical industry issues and solve patent analysis tasks in real-world contexts. This bridge between industry, academia, and research creates dual benefits for talent cultivation and industrial growth.

To support participating teams, TIPO has organized a series of hands-on training sessions covering patent search techniques, analysis methods, and portfolio strategies. These courses are designed to help beginners quickly build a solid foundation. Furthermore, teams advancing to the semi-finals will receive one-on-one guidance from IP experts to deepen their analysis and enhance the practical application of patent intelligence.

The competition guidelines and relevant information have been announced on the official website. All interested parties are encouraged to explore and participate.
