Registration for the 2026 Trademark Professional Capability Certification Examination Opens in June
Based on the qualifications stipulated in the Trademark Act for trademark agents, individuals must pass the Trademark Professional Capability Certification Examination, apply for registration, and complete annual continuing education training to be legally authorized to handle trademark-related matters. To strengthen the regulation of trademark agents and establish a professional certification mechanism, TIPO has commissioned National Taiwan University to administer the 2026 Trademark Professional Capability Certification Examination.
The examination consists of five subjects, each of which may be taken separately. Scores for individual subjects remain valid for three years. Candidates who pass all five subjects within the validity period may apply for a certification of qualification. Registration is open from June 1 until 5:00 p.m. on June 22. The examination will be held on August 15 and 16 in Taipei at National Taiwan University and in Tainan at National Cheng Kung University.
This certification serves as evidence of a candidate’s professional competence in intellectual property and trademark practice and may be used as a reference for industry recruitment and academic evaluation. Individuals aspiring to enter the trademark profession, as well as those currently engaged in trademark-related services, are encouraged to apply.
