To reduce the risk of member accounts being misused or data being leaked due to prolonged inactivity or improper account management, the TIPONet platform has amended its “Membership Application Agreement” to introduce account management provisions for accounts that have remained inactive for an extended period. The amendments also specify that, when a member account presents an information security risk, such as a compromised password, measures including suspension of account use or account cancellation may be taken as appropriate.

In addition, the “Electronic Filing Agreement” has been amended to establish procedures for handling abnormal situations involving members’ email accounts, further improving electronic filing services and protecting members’ rights and interests.

The new provisions took effect on July 16, 2026. Members are reminded to pay close attention to their rights and interests.
